Wat Phra That Doi Suthep

Doi Suthep (วัดพระธาตุดอยสุเทพ)

The most famous and important temple in Chiang Mai is Doi Suthep (วัดพระธาตุดอยสุเทพ). The temple was built in 1383 to enshrine Buddha’s relics. You can take a cable car to the higher platform but a lot of  devout Buddhists choose to climb the 290 steps up to the hilltop. After praying the Phra That for good luck, do not forget to go to the terrace to soak up panoramic views of Chiang Mai town and surrounding countryside.

Nice aerial views which even the architect of this temple has not seen.
I have a large collection from you all over Thailand.
Did you notice any restrictions lately to take this photos?
I’m planning to get the french Parrot BEBOP…

I will be going to Thailand next month. Can you advise what areas were the most drone-friendly and where you had issues? Did the guards approach you while flying or did you seek out the guards to ask permission first? What did you say? Any advice would help! thanks

Officially you need a license and insurance to fly. I’ve heard of some people being fined. I don’t fly as often these days.
