Ko Lanta Yai in Krabi Province is in the Andaman Sea off the west coast of Thailand, between Phi Phi Island and the mainland. The prime attractions on Koh Lanta are its long beaches, clear water, and laid back atmosphere. The Old Town is on the East coast which is on the opposite side to the white sandy beaches. It is a great place to go for a quiet walk and to eat freshly caught seafood. There is also an interesting museum showing the local way of life.
