Wat Nong Bua (วัดหนองบัว) in Nong Bua village of Tha Wang Pha district of Nan was built in 1862 by Tai Lue craftsmen who had migrated from southern China. The main temple building is adorned with elaborate carvings. Inside there are also wall murals painted by Tai Lue artists some one hundred years ago. Their artistic value and degree of perfection equal those at Wat Phumin.
