Wat Phumin (วัดภูมินทร์) is a beautiful temple that was built by Chao Jettabutrabhrama in 1602 after he ruled Nan for six years. Its unique design makes this temple the most interesting temple in the city. The main building is believed to be the first 4-portico wihan inThailand that was built like it’s on the back of two Nagas. Inside there are four Sukhothai style Buddha statues each facing the four directions of the wihan; East, West, North and South. No matter which door the visitors enter, they will be greeted by a beautiful Buddha face. Visit My Thailand Photos for some more pictures.
