Tha Kha floating market in Samut Songkhram takes place every weekend from 6 a.m. to about noon. In addition, there is a farmer’s market on the 2nd, 7th, 12th days of both the waxing and waning moon of the lunar calendar. This is a rendezvous of vendor boats that carry local food, vegetable, and fruit for selling. Boat rental services are on offer for travelling to the villages and fruit orchards around Tha Kha Floating Market. For more pictures, please visit My Thailand Photos.

Great pictures, Richard. It’s been a few years since I’ve been to the floating market at Tha Kha. When my brother in law first took me there ( more than 10 years ago), I was the only “farang”. If you weren’t there before 9 am the place was empty. Boy, how things change. I too have a Phantom and am contemplating taking it with me to Thailand from the US next month. Are the rules changing as to where you can fly it?
You should be fine with a Phantom but be respectful of others when flying.
I’m going to be in Phuket in a week.
Will I have issues flying. I’m seeing that the rules are saying 40 days jail time ? I wanted to take it some islands around there.. Will I really be stopped?
If it’s a hobby and your drone is less than two kilos then you don’t need a license. But you cannot fly near building or structures or populated areas.
