On the outskirts of Hat Yai you can find Khlong Hae Floating Market. It is purpose built, but they have put in a great effort into making it authentic. Most of the vendors wear traditional clothes and they use natural containers for their food. The market is open from Friday to Sunday from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. At the weekends they also have free cultural performances in the evenings. The market is popular with tourists from Malaysia.
